Growth is hard. It doesn’t happen by accident. But it’s necessary. Many of us know this and are doing what we can. Still, 2 Peter 1:1-15 is an encouragement and warning to keep growing.

We can grow (1:1-4)

How? Through the grace of the knowledge of God
How? Through the grace of the promises of God
Why? To become more like Jesus

We must grow (1:5-15)

We can only grow if we own our growth
- Where is growth needed?
- What does God want me to do?
- What bad habits hold me back?
- Who can I influence?
Slack off and we will feel lost
Step up and we will find assurance
